The V3 is the only one of the five Federation turnings made by Heritage & Decorative Timber Products that comes in two versions, which is why this page carries two price tables rather than one. The first is the standard V3. The second is the V3B, which is priced above it at every section and every length.

V3 or V3B — which one do I want?
If you are matching an existing verandah, send us a photograph before you order. The two share a design number but not a price, and the difference is not something we would ask you to judge from a thumbnail on a phone. Take the shot square-on with a tape measure held against the shaft, add one of the head where the post meets the beam, and we will tell you which of the two you are looking at. It takes us a minute and costs you nothing.
V3 and V3B sections and lengths
Both versions are made in three squared sections — 88 x 88mm, 112 x 112mm and 135 x 135mm — and in five lengths: 2.4m, 2.7m, 3.0m, 3.3m and 3.6m. Every combination is priced in the tables below.
Where V3 sits in the range
V1 to V5 are turned from the same treated pine blank in the same sizes and, in their standard versions, carry the same price. So across the five Federation profiles you are choosing a shape: the V2 is the second of the five and the V4 the fourth. The V3B is the exception — a second version of the V3 at its own rate.
Timber and guarantee
LOSP treated pine, H3 rated for outdoor use above ground. Because the preservative is carried in a light organic solvent rather than in water, the timber stays stable and the turning keeps its edges — which matters on a profile with fine detail in it. As external LOSP H3 treated pine used above ground, both the V3 and the V3B carry our 25 year guarantee.
Finishing
Prime all six faces with two thin coats of oil-based primer before the post goes up, allow the timber at least 72 hours after delivery before painting, then topcoat. Inspect once a year and touch up anywhere the film has broken. Paint that is allowed to fail takes the guarantee with it.
